I manage a team of writers within our Trust group. With product, design, and research partners, we're working out how to strengthen relationships between strangers from different ends of the earth.
I worked at Google between 2013 and 2018, most recently as a senior UX writer for the Trust & Privacy team. Highlights include explaining how Google uses data to personalize ads, dabbling in cold-chain research for Google Express groceries (RIP), and launching the first AdWords mobile app.
Novels & the railway
I wrote a Ph.D. thesis about how the railway setting sparked or affected the structure of novels by Henry James, EM Forster, Virginia Woolf, and Graham Greene.
Other writing
I keep a movie journal at Mubi and also noodle with creative nonfiction.
